Assistant Site Supervisor

Position:
School Age Care Assistant Site Supervisor
Responsibilities:
-Assist Supervisor in
implementing program based on philosophy including day-to-day
operation, field trips, and special events.
-Maintain clear, consistent,
and fair limits on children's behavior
-Maintain positive guidance
and discipline techniques set by program
-Access resources as
necessary for special needs children
-Continue professional
growth, attend all staff meetings and in-services
-Adhere to licensing
guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Social Services,
Boulder County Health Department and *School District policies
and procedures
-Work cooperatively with
Supervisor in sharing responsibilities
-Assist Supervisor to create
a harmonious and efficient work environment
-Assist Supervisor at
monthly staff meeting to review schedule, address relevant issues
and build team cohesion
-Maintain program supplies
and services
-Maintain accurate
attendance records, knowing where children are at all times
-Provide accurate and timely
information to Site Supervisor
-Share relevant resources
and materials with supervisor, staff and parents
-Maintain on-going
communication with supervisor and staff
-Establish and maintain
regular and open communication with parents regarding children's
progress and behavior as well as upcoming field trips and special
events
-Establish and maintain
on-going timely communication with school building personnel and
custodian
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
-
Communicate (read, write, and speak) in
English, must pass English component of interview process
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application
Preferred:
-Ability and the skill to exercise appropriate supervision and
direction to children ages 5 - 12
-Minimum of 6 months full time experience working with groups of
4 or more children
-Demonstrated successful experience in program design and
implementation for children
-Demonstrated successful experience working with school age
children or youth
*-Proven ability to work effectively in a team and guide and
supervise adult staff
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
-Professional attitude towards childcare
-Experience with special needs children
