PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:  The individual selected for this assignment will report to the Regional Technology Support Technician, and assume

responsibility for providing exceptional customer service and installation, maintenance, and repair of technology equipment.  Maintain and

troubleshoot the diverse multi-platform technology equipment in assigned building(s) (computers, printers, scanners, digital cameras and

camcorders, mobile devices, electronic white boards, etc.).  Provide support to users requesting advice and assistance with technology-related use,

problems or issues.  Keep lab technology organized for a productive learning environment.  Responsible for providing first level support of

networking equipment (connectivity, cabling, wireless access points, routers/switches, NICs, etc.).

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to: Associate degree from an accredited technical school or similar equivalent training preferred.  Two years’ experience as a technician maintaining technology devices required.  Certification: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), CompTIA Network+, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) preferred.  Skill in problem solving and the effective implementation of hardware and software; ability to define a problem, solution and a goal; logical thinking skills; high academic achievement or experience; ability to learn and use software; understanding of Windows and Macintosh, iOS and Android Operating Systems.  Positive attitude, excellent organizational/scheduling skills, ability to communicate effectively, Reliable and resourceful with solid work ethic; and sensitivity to cultural diversity and acceptance of all students and staff.  Maintain troubleshooting competency by participating in in-services, workshops, meetings, and other similar activities.  Present a professional appearance in dress and demeanor at all times.  Collect, maintain and report data requested by supervisor.  Continue to acquire professional knowledge.  Complete other duties as assigned.   

 

SALARY RANGE: $19.44 per hour. Benefit package as outlined in the Miscellaneous Compensation Policy.
