  This teacher will be responsible for the Birchview music program, teaching grades 1-5.  Consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate:

Experience teaching music to elementary-aged students using current, best practices in music education. 
Knowledge of multiple instructional designs and strategies that reflect and celebrate cultural diversity.
Ability to provide a supportive, caring environment that emphasizes respect and relationships.
Desire to innovate and work with other building teachers in a PLC format to integrate music with other content areas for relevance and rigor.
