related experience

through an extensive number of years of directly related experience
Basic
Functions
- Supervise and direct district staff functions including Core Curriculum
& Instruction, Literacy and Language, Professional Development, Visual and Performing
Arts, Special Education, and Evaluation and Accountability
- Participate in and finalize district short and long range planning
in areas of possible growth, expansion and new educational opportunities
- Direct, through direct reports the development, implementation,
and coordination of policies and programs covering Special Programs, Visual and
Performing Arts, Multi-Language Enrichment, Early Childhood, Physical Education,
Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Career and Technology Education, Social
Studies Programs, Library and Media Services, and instructional web-site
facilitation, which will provide a balanced program throughout the district
- Direct, through direct reports Student Support and Special
Services, the operations of Special Education, Regional Day School, Medicaid
Coordination and student support team which will meet the needs of the students,
parents, and community
- Direct, through direct reports Professional Development, the
operations of Professional Development, Teacher Training, Districtwide Initiatives,
Leadership Academy, and Adult Basic Education, which will provide effective
programs meeting the needs of participants
- Direct the maintenance of such record and reports that are
necessary for the Superintendent of Schools, and other executive staff to keep the
Board of Trustees informed of the district's progress and future plans
- Develop
and implement, with the approval of the Superintendent of Schools and the
collaboration of the other chiefs and executive directors, the type of
organization needed to accomplish the district's aims, objectives and programs
- Through
staff departments, assist the operating units with the selection, training and
development of executive and administrative personnel, including the operation
of interdepartmental executive development programs.
- Direct
the establishment of ongoing operations of the Curriculum & Instruction
Division to insure long term programs, in order to meet the needs of the
schools and the community
- Direct the development of programs and
methods for establishment of standards of performance and the evaluation of
performance against these standards for the purpose of aiding operating
divisions in the attainment of their own and district objectives
- Perform all other
tasks and duties as assigned
