Computer Technology
General Statement of
Internship
Intern will support Department of Technology.
This internship will report to the Coordinator of
Technology.
Compensation
4 weeks $1,500
8 weeks $3,000
Amount will be prorated for time worked
Qualifications
Candidate must be entering junior or senior year
in college (transcripts are required) and pursuing a degree in
Information Systems, Computer Technology or related field. All
education majors are eligible to apply.
Candidate must have
reliable transportation to and from internship site.
Candidate must pass criminal background and
Sex Offender Registry Checks.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Update and maintain the District's Website using
EChalk web hosting portal. Include an RSS feed for the District
site from the Public Relations Coordinator regarding upcoming
events throughout the District.
Evaluate the School Dude reporting system for
Maintenance, Facilities, and Technology and determine if
another program is more suited to the needs of the District.
This evaluation would
include Preventative Maintenance, Scheduling of Facilities, and
the Work Order system for both Maintenance and
Technology. Test other products that would be more user
friendly in scheduling facilities, as well as, help define a
Preventative Maintenance schedule and facilitate work
orders.
Catalog the videos using the VBrick streaming
video media portal.
Include videos that are
currently under the inclusion of United Streaming and
ETV.
Deploy IP telephones throughout the District and
program the handset.
Reimage computers throughout the District.

(Confidentiality Statement will be signed and dated before
internship commences.)
