Payroll Specialist

  

Qualifications:

 

·         Payroll experience (preferably in a school setting)

·         Superior communications/inter-personal skills

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Strong computer skills

·         Ability to relate well with all stakeholders

·         Such other qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable 

 

An outstanding candidate for this position:

 

·         Oversee the payroll activities for the entire district

·         Process periodic payroll payments to employees

·         Process all timesheets submitted to the district by staff ensuring accuracy

·         Track attendance for all staff members and ensure that the totals in Aesop are accurate and up-to-date

·         Submit relevant reports including, but not limited to, TRS, Teacher Salary Study, and other payroll-related reports

·         Process payment of all payroll liabilities including, but not limited to, federal and state taxes, 403B, voluntary life insurance, Aflac, wage garnishments TRS, IMRF and union dues

·         Ensure the timely distribution of federal and state tax forms for employees

 

Conditions of Employment:

 

·         Required to work a twelve month calendar

·         Compensation and working conditions to be established by the Board of Education
