Casual/Seasonal - June 25 through July 28 - 12:30 pm until 5:30 pm

Coordinator of Gifted, Arts and Enrichment
Salary Classification:
EPER - $30.00 per hour

Job Goal: The stage director will set the artistic tone for a live theatrical production and collaborates with the artists and technicians to create a story for the audience.
Job Qualifications:
1. Certified Teacher, grades 4-12 experience preferred.
2. Experience with directing musical theater; experience in children's theater preferred.
Essential Functions:
1. Work with colleagues during the casting, rehearsal and performance phases of the production.
2. The Stage Director will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the production, including:
a. Auditions/casting
b. Rehearsals, including planning each day in advance with colleagues to determine how to keep all students engaged throughout each day's session
c. Set design
d. Costumes and props
e. Advertising and tickets
f. Striking of the set
3. Providing supervision and ensuring safety of students and volunteer workers. At all times, a safe and appropriate work environment will be maintained for students and staff participating in the program. Brandywine School District reserves the right to periodically inspect the environment and make changes it deems necessary throughout the production.
