QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires knowledge of
standard warehouse practices, procedures, and operations; safe
operation of warehouse equipment and tools.
Must possess the skill to learn District policies and procedures
related to warehouse operations; understand and follow both oral
and written directions; read and write at a level necessary for
successful performance of required duties; maintain accurate
supply and inventory records; effectively receive, store, and
deliver supplies, materials, and equipment in a warehouse
facility; quickly and accurately perform arithmetical
calculations; establish and maintain effective working
relationships with those contacted in the performance of required
duties.
Must possess the ability to inspect incoming stock for conformity
to purchase orders and packing slips; report shortage, damage,
and other discrepancies; fill requisition and shipping invoices;
deliver stock, materials, and supplies to school and other
District offices and marks orders for delivery; assist in
periodic and annual physical inventories of warehouse facility
and maintain proper inventory records; receive calls and visits
from school/District employees requesting special or emergency
supply orders; operate forklift and delivery vehicles in
conjunction with assigned duties; perform related duties as
required.
Successful candidate must meet the
physical requirements of the job; must also possess the ability
to do physical work under conditions involving temperature
extremes.
One year of experience
in stock work involving the receiving, storing, and issuing of
supplies. Successful applicant must be able to obtain and
maintain a valid California Class B Driver's License with an
air brake endorsement within 6 months of employment.

A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK AND
PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
DUTIES OF
POSITION:
To participate in the receipt,
storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory of
District materials, supplies, furniture, equipment, and food
goods related to assigned warehouse operations. Employees
in this classification receive direct to general supervision
from a supervisory level or his/her designate within a
framework of standard policies and procedures. Positions
allocated to this classification are located at either the
Central Kitchen or District warehouse
facilities.
STARTING SALARY:
$2,286.28
