Title/Position:
Primary Function:
Internal and external communications. Assists the district administration in compiling information and issuing press releases and reports to advance the strategic goals of the district.
Reports to:
Superintendent
Qualifications Required:
· Bachelor's degree
· Familiarity with school district and local community
· Strong technological background, including website management and familiarity with a variety of computer programs related to data collection and communication including Microsoft Office Suite and MS Publisher
· Strong oral and written communication ability
· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
· Familiarity with social media required
Term of contract:
Unaffiliated (non-union) position; 10 month + 20 days
Work Schedule:
19 hrs. work week
164 part-time days per work year
Salary
Between $20.00 - $25.00 hourly depending on experience
This part-time position does NOT include benefits
Essential Performance Responsibilities:
Functions/Responsibilities
Supports development and management of: Strategic Plan, District Goals and Board Goals
Plans and prepares internal communications (i.e., stakeholder meetings, video transmissions, website postings, data presentations…)
Compiles, prepares and manages external communications
· E-news
· Quarterly district news
· Budget information
· District press releases and announcements
· Community Bulletin Board
· Monitors school-based communications
· District web page
· Facebook page(s)
Compiles and manages Master District Activity Calendar
Supports community engagement efforts including PTA Executive Meetings and Montgomery Volunteer Program
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent
Evaluation:
Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of non-certificated staff.
