Specifications:
The individual selected for this
assignment will report to the
Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Library Media,
and assume responsibility to
support technology resources
utilized with instruction.
Work with the Department of
Instructional Technology and Library Media to support the
instructional use of technology.
Research and communicate local,
state, national, and international educational video
conferencing opportunities for the district.
Serve as the inventory lead
regarding instructional technology providing training when
necessary. Serve as the technical and training lead for
the district's online collaborative learning environment (My
Big Campus). Provide support training to users
requesting advice and assistance
associated with various
interactive digital communications including video
conferencing and online collaborative learning
environments. Research new
technologies as a staff
resource. Perform data management responsibilities
associated with district online instructional
subscriptions. Maintain and manage portable equipment
inventory for the department. Assist in organizing and
directing assigned project tasks. Maintain the
department webpage.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include,
but are not limited to: Associate degree from an accredited
technical school or similar equivalent training
required.
Two years' experience as a
technician maintaining technology devices required.
Two years' experience in an educational environment preferred.
Provide routine technical support (connecting hardware,
configuring software and level one troubleshooting).
Assist with software updates/loading in relation to department
equipment
.
Understands technological systems
as they relate to education.
Ability to use software packages (word processing, spreadsheet,
databases, presentation tools, etc.).
Ability to use technological
equipment (computers, tablets, doc cams, video equipment,
interactive technologies, etc.).
Understands Windows and Macintosh systems.
Good oral and written communication skills when working with
building and district staff.
Good coaching, modeling
and support skills when
introducing new technologies.
A well sense of ethics and integrity.
Willingness to consider new ideas.
Self-reliant.
Ability to multi task
.
Maintain competency by
participating in appropriate professional development
activities.
Collect and maintain data requested by the coordinator of the
department.
Complete other duties as assigned.
