PRIMARY TASKS
As a multidisciplinary team member: plan, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy and sensory motor integration in accordance with Special Education student Individual Educational Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Evaluation; program planning; and program supervision and implementation. Collaborate with the Special Education team in program scheduling, identification and implementation of service delivery model, and parent contacts/meetings.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Registered occupational therapy certification. Prefer a minimum of three years as a practicing occupational therapist working with pre-school and school-age children. Other skills beneficial to this position assignment: Knowledge of the Special Education Process and laws. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written skills, time management, telephone skills. Computer knowledge and assistive technology. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
