Coordinator of Special Education

Description:

Full time Coordinator for the Center for Student Services, specializing in working with students with moderate to intensive needs. Assists partner school districts with delivery of special education services. Provides ongoing analyses, development, and oversight of special education service delivery. This person will be working with and supervising staff working with students in a public suburban school setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid certification/ license from Ohio Department of Education or appropriate license for the assignment
• Documentation of a clear criminal record
• Compiles with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
• Available to respond to student emergencies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired qualifications:

• Experience in administration
• Expertise in program options, related services and curricular materials that address the educational needs of program participants
• Ability to organize community support for special education services and student assimilation activities
• Knowledge and expertise of Ohio’s Operating Standards for Ohio Educational Agencies serving Children with Disabilities 

Salary:

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule

Director of Student Services
