REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Adult Education Center in Hartford will operate its program from August 2012 through June 2013. Teachers provide classroom instruction in the Adult Education Center and/or satellite sites. Classes are offered in ESL and GED/ABE (English), ABE/GED (Spanish), NEDP and Citizenship. Hours range between 4 – 15.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (a few classes meet on Saturday and/or Sunday at satellite locations). Classes meet at various locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess and maintain appropriate Connecticut Certification or Adult Education Endorsement.
- Experience with ABE, GED, NEDP, ESL and Citizenship programs.
Salary and Terms of Employment: Part-time hourly rate in accordance with the Hartford Public School System salary schedule. No paid holidays, vacation or paid sick leave during this scheduled program period.
