TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS:
¨
Must
have the ability to provide an educational atmosphere where
students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for
intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth.
¨
Must
be able to organize and implement instructional strategies and
skills in letter and sound recognition, numbers 1-10, shapes,
colors, and name identification that will result in students
achieving Kindergarten readiness.
TEACHER EDUCATION:
¨
Bachelors or higher degree.
¨
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Endorsements as listed
above.
PARAPROFESSIONAL A EDUCATION
:
High School Diploma or GED required.
PARAPROFESSIONAL B EDUCATION
:
Must have an Associate Degree or higher; or have completed 60
semester hours; or have passed the state approved test (WorkKeys
- Reading/Math/Writing portions).
All positions are tentative until student enrollment numbers
are finalized.
Staff working in these programs will need to commit to
the entire time frame of the summer program or make
arrangements with the program Supervisors.
