About I CAN SCHOOLS
I CAN SCHOOLS is a non-profit, charter school management
organization created by the founding leaders of a highly
successful, award-winning, urban school in Cleveland, Ohio. The
mission of I CAN SCHOOLS is to prepare students for a college
preparatory high school that ensures acceptance and graduation
from a four year college and/or university.
I CAN SCHOOLS is dedicated to
providing all students with an education that supersedes
standards of excellence. I CAN SCHOOLS currently has three high
performing, Kindergarten through Eighth schools in Cleveland,
Ohio: Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School, Cleveland
College Preparatory School and University of Cleveland
Preparatory School.
I CAN SCHOOLS will be adding two more
schools to its network in the 2012 -- 2013 school year. We are
seeking qualified Office Managers for our Cleveland schools for
the upcoming school year.
Office Manager Responsibilities
A.
Maintains punctuality in arrival to work
on a daily basis, dresses professionally, and acts with a
customer service demeanor at all times.
B.
Coordinates various office support
services, including vendors and facilities management.
C.
Fields phone calls and other
communications from parents, social services, vendors, and other
stakeholders.
D.
Performs general administrative duties
including filing, drafting letters and emails, entering
attendance, scanning breakfast and lunch barcodes, ordering
supplies and student enrollment. Will also assist other staff in
work overflow, word processing, data entry, creating reports, and
internet research
E.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher
F.
Assists with the maintenance of all
office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, printers, and
phones.
G.
Handles daily business duties which could
include receiving shipments, unlocking/locking doors, and
conducting a walkthrough to monitor building cleanliness.
H.
Maintains accurate and complete student
files in hard copy and electronic form, while adhering to the
FERPA and Ohio Department of Education Laws.
I.
Assist in EMIS and SOES
funding database reporting and Student Information System
(SIS)
J.
Maintains accurate Transportation
and Food Service logs
K.
Communicates with other schools
regarding the timely receipt of all student records, as well as
admissions and withdrawals
L.
Supports fellow Office Managers,
Co-Directors, Leadership Team, and the I CAN SCHOOLS Board of
Directors
M.
Attends scheduled meetings, professional
developments, and trainings as required
N.
Demonstrates a "do whatever it takes"
mentality and approach to the job including, but not limited to;
dedicating time above and beyond to ensure tasks are completed to
support the overall successful function of the company. Some
weekends are required.
