MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year degree in an education or related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Must meet the requirements of a criminalrecords check as specified by Kentucky State Law
- Must meet health requirements asspecified in district personnel policy
BASIC FUNCTION:
Coordinate programs to assist students in career planning and post-secondary goals; coordinate Individual Graduation Plans for students and coordinate similar services to meet student needs with post-secondary goals and plans.
ABILITY TO:
· Coordinate programs to assist students in career planning and identification of post-secondary goals.
· Coordinate and implement career development and post-secondary programs.
· Coordinate with school guidance counselors to provide career planning and post-secondary opportunities for students.
· Assist individual students in development of Individual Graduation Plans.
· Provide specialized assistance and information to students, parents and others concerning post-secondary opportunities areas.
· Assess student needs and develop viable plans and alternatives.
· Understand and follow oral and written directions.
· Work cooperatively with others.
· Maintain records and prepare reports.
· Work independently with little direction.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
· Coordinate programs to assist students in career planning and identification of post-secondary goals.
· Coordinate with school guidance counselors to provide career planning and post-secondary opportunities.
· Assist individual students in development of Individual Graduation Plans.
· Provide instruction to students and parents in various aspects of career planning and post-secondary opportunities.
· Monitor and coordinate career and post-secondary exploration experiences and provide support as needed.
· Assist participants with preparation for post-secondary opportunities.
· Serve as a liaison with post-secondary educational entities.
· Perform related duties as assigned.
EVALUATION:
Evaluation will be in accordance with the board’s policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Work year as stated in contract and designated by current school calendar and board policy.
· Salary commensurate with board approved Certified Salary schedule.
· Sick leave, emergency leave, personal leave, and holidays as stated in board policy.
