District Technology Support
School Year Plus Four Weeks Position with Benefit
Experience with installation and management of
file servers, intelligent hubs, and switches.
Demonstrated experience with installation,
configuration and management of Microsoft Windows and Apple
devices (iPads, MacBook, etc.).
Five years experience in a related field preferred
with advanced training and certification.
Experience in an educational setting
Primary job duties of Technology Support Specialist
include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in the design, planning and coordination of IT projects.
Recommend hardware and software for use within the District.
Install and maintain operating systems/software suites.
Assist in maintaining District computer
Assist with planning/coordinating/installing major OS/Software
Assist with staff development programs as requested.
Strategically research and recommend new computer
systems/software/network upgrades for District.
Update personal technological knowledge and skills.
Provide technical support for users of computer systems
District-wide; respond to requests for technological assistance
from District, department and site
with departments, sites and divisions to assure optimum
acquisition, installation, maintenance, utilization, repair and
security of available technology.
Review requests for services; resolve problems or determine
appropriateness of new applications for automation, and determine
priorities for work to be completed.
Develop, coordinate, and teach workshops and classes on
instructional and administrative applications for microcomputers
and related technologies.
