QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters degree
·
Type 75 Administrative/Supervisory
certificate
·
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of
public education, including experience as a classroom
teacher.
REPORTS TO:
Principal
JOB GOAL:
To support and assist the principal in his/her
responsibility in promoting the educational development
of each student.
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Assists the Principal in the overall
administration and leadership of the school
·
Assists the Principal with staff evaluations
·
Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with
colleagues, supervisors, and students
·
Supervises student attendance and
discipline
·
Assists in scheduling and conducting conferences
with parents and all involved personnel regarding matters of
student performance, attendance or disciplinary problems
·
Possesses working knowledge and provides
supervision of staff entering and maintaining data on the eSchool
Student Data base
System
·
Assists with the implementation and finalization
of all disciplinary matters related to student violations of
School Board Policy
·
Supervises and assists staff
in emergency situations
·
Attends grade level pupil
personnel and multi-disciplinary staffings for student placement
in appropriate programs to meet the individual needs of the
students as required
·
Supervises during fire and
other emergency drills to ensure compliance with State and school
safety regulations
·
Assists in the scheduling of extra-curricular
events and personnel
·
Attends after school
extra-curricular and school events
·
Supervises the cafeteria or
common areas
·
Assists in the building
level orientation of new teachers and with the inservice
education of the faculty
·
Assists the Principal with
the school wide implementation/ management of the PBIS
program
·
Works in conjunction with
the District Directors and Program Supervisors
·
Serves as acting principal
at various times,to carry out all the functions assigned to the
building administrators
·
Assists in the supervision of after school
activities
·
Supervises/ manages student
arrival/dismissal, playground periods and crowd control at all
school events
·
Assists the principal in
matters in relation to the formulation and execution of school
policies
·
Assists the principal in leading the school
improvement process
·
Assists the principal in data gathering and
compilation for all required district and state reports
Works with teachers in solving classroom
problems
·
Assists in identification,
referral and appropriate placement of students with special
needs
·
Oversees to ensure that
district/building/student and staff procedures are followed
·
Provides oversight in the
maintenance of both student files and electronic records.
·
Oversees student learning
material inventory and distribution systems
·
Oversees the implementation
and management of district student assessment programs
·
Performs any other duties
assigned by the Administration
