PRINCIPAL –MESILLA ELEMENTARY
MINIMUM 1. Master’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university
2. Possess valid New Mexico K-12 Administrative License or proof of eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS: 3. Administrative experience beyond internship required
4. Five years teaching at the level of posted position
5. Demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate
people
6. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
7. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development, program
evaluation and data analysis, child growth and development, effective
instructional strategies, classroom management,
learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
8. Relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
9. Demonstrate the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
10. Demonstrate the ability to use computers for word processing, data management,
and telecommunications
REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools
SALARY: $60,000. -- $76,028. (DOE) 205-day contract
Principals Salary Schedule 11B, Range 2
