Position Title:
Classroom Paraprofessional
Terms of Employment:
186 days per year.
Qualifications:
· Associates Degree or
college courses preferred
OR
· Valid New Hampshire Para II certification or
ability to obtain (if working in a Title School)
Reports to:
Classroom Teachers
Supervises:
Students as directed by the classroom teacher
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Agreement between the FMRSD and the Fall
Mountain Regional Educational Support Personnel Association.
Job Goal:
To assist the teacher in providing instruction to individuals or
groups of students in an assigned special education classroom
and/or in the general education setting.
Performance Responsibilities:
· Work directly
under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
· Support
instructional programming in the classroom
· Support the use
of technology in the classroom
· Facilitate
interactions between students
· Communicate
student progress to the classroom teacher
· Does not
communicate directly to parents
· Maintain
confidentiality
· Perform all
other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, Principal or
Assistant Principal
