Position Definition:

<ADDRESS> </ADDRESS> <ADDRESS>Using considerable discretion and independent judgment, in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Team, the individual in this position oversees the RtI/PBIS team of professionals and building level staff to deliver a wide range of interventions to all students working at the assigned levels in Community Unit School District 300.  The individual in this position functions as a resource for administrators and building staff, focusing on the administrators and staff assigned to elementary schools throughout the district and proactively partners to resolve various problems and issues facing the district.  Additionally, the individual in this position oversees the delivery of instruction of RtI/PBIS and identified programming based on individual student and school needs.  </ADDRESS> <ADDRESS> </ADDRESS> <ADDRESS>Duties and Responsibilities:      </ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Collect, analyze and report data for student achievement and program/intervention effectiveness</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Plan, prepare and conduct professional development for administrators, certified and non-certified staff including classroom coaching</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Maintain various computer systems for communication</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Communicate important issues with building administration, building staff and assistant superintendents</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Research and design solutions to various challenges confronting the district and staff</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Investigate and recommend intervention programs based on student data and needs</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Establish and maintain effective school, community, Regional Office of Education, and family partnerships</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Maintain required reporting documents and data collection in alignment with RtI/PBIS partnerships</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Facilitate RtI/PBIS district level meetings</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Attend RtI/PBIS regional and state meetings as requested</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Implement recommendations from the audit by the Urban Special Education Leadership Collaborative</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Maintain RtI/PBIS webpage on district website</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Maintain RtI/PBIS SharePoint </ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Allocate materials and resources to support RtI/PBIS</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Assist with building-level scheduling to support RtI/PBIS initiatives</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Oversee district elementary gifted program</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Plan, prepare and conduct professional development for teachers and administrators related to gifted education</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Facilitate gifted district level meetings</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Other duties as assigned </ADDRESS>

  • <ADDRESS>A Bachelor’s Degree </ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Type 75 Certificate </ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Minimum of five years teaching and/or administrative experiences</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable</ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS>Knowledge:</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Thorough knowledge of the best practices for RtI/PBIS and ability to apply said knowledge</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Extensive knowledge of interventions and best practices for RtI/PBIS and gifted and ability to apply said knowledge</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Extensive knowledge of all applicable Federal and State Special Education Compliance as related to RtI/PBIS and ability to apply said knowledge</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Thorough knowledge of RtI/PBIS process and continuum of services and ability to apply said knowledge</ADDRESS>
  • <ADDRESS>Extensive knowledge of differentiated instructional methods for academics, behavior and life skills as it applies to RtI /PBIS  and gifted and ability to apply said knowledge</ADDRESS>
