EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent with 4-5 years related work experience.
Experience using PC and/or MAC computers for word processing, spreadsheets and database.
Experience using CIMS and PowerSchool.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as liaison to help build a positive rapport with students, staff, and community.
Process and maintain time and attendance records including hourly payroll.
Type, prepare, edit and proof, distribute, file records/reports, correspondence, mailings etc. related to building functions and principal needs.
Assist with enrollment of students and maintain accurate child accounting records/reports.
Order supplies and maintain storeroom.
Administer medication according to policy and regulations and assist with children who are ill or have injuries.
Monitor school budget, process PO’s, handle petty cash, and deposits.
Work closely with parents and staff on school projects.
Maintain filing system.
Orients substitute teachers.
Coordinates building calendar and use of the building.
Other related duties as assigned.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Speak effectively before groups of people.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Patience in dealing with parents and small children.
Develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Operate standard office equipment.
Must be punctual, dependable and work with accuracy.
Knowledge of first aid.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
