Responsibilities:
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, cafeteria,
storage areas and equipment under the auspices of FS Department,
assist with end of day cleaning and close down
-Assist in accurate inputting of production and meal count
data required for compliance with the National School Lunch
Program
-Record and maintain temperature logs for equipment, food
production and food transport, as outlined in the BVSD FS
Standard Operating Procedures
-Comply with federal, state and district regulations and
policies including, but not limited to, HACCP, Serve Safe, safety
and sanitation
-Cashiering duties including proficient operation of QSP point
of sale software system recording meal sales, recordkeeping,
monies collection and all other functions of QSP including
processing advanced payments
-Establish positive relations with students, staff, school
administration, parents, and community members
-Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
-High School diploma or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of
comparable food preparation experience
-Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional dual-lifts of
up to 100 pounds; frequent movement of heavy loads and stand for
the duration of work hours
-
Communicate (read, write, and speak) in
English, must pass English component of interview process
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application
Preferred:
-Must maintain district and state health requirements and
shall acquire a current Serve Safe certification or State/County
Food Handlers card within 30 days of employment
-Physical activities require frequent reaching, lifting,
carrying, bending and stooping
