Spanish Immersion Coordinator

HOURS: 4 hours: 5 days/week
Description: Cooridinate the Spanish Immersion program under the direction of building principal. Work in partnership to develop the system of interventions, conduct walkthroughs, build the capacity of teachers to meet the needs of students, work with parents, communicate goals and objectives of the immersion program to the community, review data, make recommendations for improvement, and carry out plans. Assist in coaching of techers to meet annual goals.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and current Minnesota State Licensure in Elementary Education. Prinicpal licensure or in a program for administrative licensure preferred. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students; effectual planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. Previous experience working in an immersion program. Prefer candidate with experience working with diverse learners.
Ability to work with others, knowledge of literacy components and instructional practices, able to use data to make education decisions, and leadership skills.
