  Job Summary:   The Perry Local Schools desires to employ a certificated/licensed teacher in the State of Ohio to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the District for the 2012-2013 school year.  The daily percentage of time required will be dictated based upon student caseload and services required.  The Intervention Specialist will provide services for students enrolled in any grades K-12 based upon student needs determined, but a majority of time spent at high school. 


Qualifications:  Valid licensure as a K-12 Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe Intervention Specialist.  Consideration will be given to other fully certificated/licensed educators or substitutes should a qualified and credentialed Intervention Specialist not be available to fill this anticipated vacancy.  Evidence of successful completion of Praxis I and II examinations are required, if applicable.  Prior successful experience working with students with special needs is preferred. 


Working Conditions:  Excellent school district with state of the art facilities.  Terms and conditions of employment shall be in accordance with the Agreement between the Perry Classroom Teachers Association and the Perry Board of Education, as applicable.
