Job goal: To provide guidance and supervision for students with the help of the classroom teacher and/or the library media specialist (LMS); to assist the LMS with administration and circulation procedures; and to provide support to the LMS in all other aspects of the district library curriculum plan.
Qualifications: High School Diploma. Prefer post high-school experience and/or education in the following fields: Instructional Development K-12; libraries; computers; audiovisual materials; and other technologies. The position involves a great deal of physical activity. The aide will work independently and under supervision and will need to cope with shifting job priorities. The applicant should possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and technology skills.
