POSITION: Paraprofessional
Position Guide: Non – Certified Personnel Bargaining Unit Position F/T - 9 Months 6 1/2 hours Salary Range - $13.57 to $15.32 hour Based on college hours, Degree or Degree with Teaching Certificate
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree or minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit
No Child Left Behind and State Paraprofessional Letter of Approval and / or Valid IL. Teaching Certificate
JOB SUMMARY:
Classroom paraprofessionals, paraprofessionals and one-to-one paraprofessionals may function in a variety of roles: those which are instructionally-based, those which are physically-management based and those which are medically-based.
Job responsibilities may shift among these roles dependent upon the needs of the student/s.
Conduct small group, large and/or 1 -1 instruction as requested. Assist student with classroom activities. Assist students requiring special attention. Assist with the supervision of students. Prepare instructional materials as directed by the supervision teacher.
