Description: Strength & Conditioning Coach
Job Summary:
Position available at Natick High School:
Monday through Friday 2:30 - 6:30 P.M.
Organizes
and administers the overall strength and conditioning program at Natick High
School Fitness Center
With the
collaboration of the Director of Athletics and the Director of Wellness
develops and places into operation appropriate rules and regulations governing
the Natick High School Fitness Center
Designs
an instructional training program for all coaches and Physical education
teachers to ensure basic knowledge of training principles and proper use of
equipment
Oversee
the safety and maintenance of the fitness center
Plan and
schedule the fitness time for general student body, staff, and athletic teams
Design
and prescribe sport specific training programs for all teams
Work
with the athletic trainer in the rehabilitation of injured athletes
Performs
any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor(s), principal and/or
superintendent
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or a human-performance based program of
studies
Preferred
certification in strength and conditioning according to NSCA
http://www.nsca-lift.org/, ACSM, or other professional standards
Current
certification in first aid and CPR
Strong
organizational, communication, and human relations skills
Knowledge
and experience in program design and training for high school student-athletes.
Knowledge
and experience in managing a fitness center.
