WELLNESS
FACILITATOR
(EMPLOYEE WELLNESS)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Facilitates and coordinates various wellness
related programs on behalf of the employees of the Parma City
School District (PCSD).
Manages the personnel and paperwork for all
activities related to wellness programs. Responsible for
updating and educating PCSD employees on any and all related
health issues. Reports to the Treasurer/CFO of the
district.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Supervises, coordinates, develops, and monitors
various Health and Wellness Programs and Activities offered to
PCSD employees and the community, including Wellness Fairs and
workshops.
2.
Chairs the Wellness Committee and develops
monthly meeting agendas.
3.
Coordinates the personnel for all programs and
activities offered in Health and Wellness, including scheduling
and staffing, etc.
4.
Works with the Treasurer's office, Insurance
Representatives, and Wellness Committee to receive program
registration, coordinate external instructors for programs, and
determine needs for additional programs and workshops.
5.
Maintains the budgets for all Health and
Wellness programs including filing all related
paperwork.
6.
Responsible for maintaining, updating and
creating a Health and Wellness webpage, including posting
schedules and current related information.
7.
Responsible for answering any questions
regarding Wellness issues, programs, and activities via e-mail,
telephone, fax, mail and face-to-face.
8.
Works with all PCSD staffs as well as numerous
city, county, and state agencies to promote health and wellness
programs.
9.
Responsible for changing programs regularly to
provide a wide variety of activities throughout the
year.
10.
Maintains employee data including participation
in programs and determining eligibility for recognition and
incentives.
11.
Responsible for advertising for all programs
offered, including designing and producing flyers.
12.
Assembles various reports related to Health and
Wellness programs, including registration, budgets, etc.
13.
Maintains a Wellness Bulletin Board in the
Central Office Area, presenting district-wide health related
themes.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES:
The individual must possess the
following skills and abilities to be able to explain and
demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential
functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation,

Have working knowledge of current health and
wellness issues, information, and programs.
2.
Possess knowledge of exercise, physical fitness,
aerobic, health and other related issues.
3.
Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and connect
people with each other.
4.
Possess exceptional people skills, and an
ability to relate to others.
5.
Ability to present information in a meaningful
form to a wide variety of audiences.
6.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral
and written form.
7.
Ability to use all Microsoft Office
applications.
8.
Ability to work independently, possessing the
organizational skills to adequately manage simultaneous
projects and possible supervisory responsibilities.
9.
Ability to set priorities and complete projects
on time.
10.
Ability to operate a personal computer, and
create, maintain, and update a webpage.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Health and/or Physical
Education and Wellness-related experience required.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Minimum two years supervisory or
teaching experience and experience in exercise science or
Wellness preferred.
CERTIFICATES:
Must hold valid Ohio teaching
license and be able to acquire AED/CPR and Basic First Aid
certification.
