Position Summary: Provide direct specialized instruction to students qualifying for special education services. Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, parents and administration regarding accommodations students need in general education settings. Manage a case load of approximately 15-18 students, design instructional lessons for small groups of students, develop and implement positive proactive behavior management plans, direct the work of assigned paraprofessionals, and complete due process paperwork. Qualifications:Valid MN Emotional/Behavioral Disorders Teaching license required. Experience working with students with behavioral issues desired. Certification in non-aversive physical holds desired. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish, training and background in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and balanced literacy preferred. Experience in utilizing an inquiry approach to instruction across all content areas as well as background in STEM and Everyday Math beneficial. FTE/Schedule:1.0 FTESalary:Based on Master Agreement
