POSITION:         Elementary Teachers for Summer School Program - EXTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
 
REPORTS TO:           School Principal
                            
POSITION SUMMARY:  The Hartford Summer School Program will be conducted from July 9, 2012 - August 10, 2012.  Summer School will include Language Arts and Mathematics instruction for grades K through 8.  Teachers will have the opportunity to teach, assess, and reflect upon the assigned tasks given to students and work on developing and refining the assessment used to grade students.  Student enrollment will determine the final number of positions at each grade level.  Location may subject to change due to enrollment.
 
 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Connecticut Teacher Certification with appropriate grade level endorsements
  • Highly Qualified
 
Salary and Terms of Employment:  Summer school rate as per Appendix D of the HFT contract is $35.00 per hour. Course offering at each location will be determined by student enrollment. No holidays, vacation or sick leave during this scheduled program period. Applicants who cannot work through the entire program due to scheduling conflicts should not apply.  Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.
