Description: Outdoor Adventures Guide - Trailblazers Program
Job Summary: The Trailblazer Program is a two-week program for children ages 10-13. The goal of the program is to teach children basic outdoor living skills all the while developing an appreciation for outdoor recreation. An Outdoor Adventure Guide instructs a group of children in a specific outdoor adventure activities throughout the camp day. This position requires a person to have knowledge in a variety of outdoor skills: hiking, biking, camping, fishing, orienteering, team building, boating, and general group management. Instructor is responsible for planning and teaching their specialized activity program with a progression of skill building as the goal. Must be able to manage activity schedules. Daily tasks include set-up/put-away of activity equipment, transportation assistance, and communicating with campers, staff and parents.Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age and demonstrate proficiency in the specific activity they wish to lead. The applicant must also have experience leading groups of children.
