an RTI model at the elementary level

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Facilitator of problem solving team.
·
Implement and assess the school's Response to
Intervention (RTI) processes, including the selection and use
of interventions.
·
Analyze whole-school Spanish and English
achievement data to summarize AYP trends and help develop the
school improvement plan.
·
Use the results of progress monitoring, as well
as benchmark and diagnostic assessments, when collaborating
with classroom teachers, specialists and principals to
develop intervention plans in Spanish and English.
·
Facilitate data analysis conversations with
teachers, specialists and principals.
·
Provide job-embedded professional development
for teachers, including co-planning lessons, demonstration
lessons, observation and feedback, co-teaching lessons and
lesson study.
·
Develop knowledge and understanding of reading
and mathematics research and best practices among the school
staff as part of the school improvement plan.
·
Support teacher leaders in the design and
development of school-wide professional development, while
reporting to the building principal.
·
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Knowledge of research-based instruction and
interventions that advance students' reading and mathematics
proficiency.
·
Knowledge of core reading and math programs as
well as core and supplemental intervention programs, and the
ability to provide direct training and support to teachers in
the implementation of those programs.
·
Experience with interpreting and using student
assessment data for instructional planning.
·
Knowledge of and the ability to design and
deliver scientifically based reading and mathematics
instruction and interventions.
·
Knowledge and experience with a standards-based
delivery model.
·
Knowledge and experience with a Spanish language
immersion model.
·
Knowledge and experience with effective
professional development models.
·
Strong communication skills and collaborative
experience with staff members and parents.
·
Fluent and literate in Spanish and
English.
·
Strong organizational skills and experience in
coordinating a wide range of activities and initiatives.
·
Willingness to participate in extensive training
throughout the school year.
·
Teacher licensure with a minimum
of least five years of teaching experience; Master's degree
and/or additional certification/coursework in reading or math
preferred.
