Position: Grade 6 Teacher - Long-term Substitute
Qualifications: Proper Connecticut teaching certification (013) required; elementary school teaching experience preferred. Must meet Federal NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher requirements. Experience with the reader's workshop framework preferred.
Responsibilities: Provide effective instruction to grade 6 students.
Terms of Employment: Position is anticipated to begin on or about August 29, 2012 and continue until approximately November 15, 2012. Per diem rate of pay based on Bachelor's Step 1 of the Agreement Between the Avon Board of Education and the Avon Education Association; $100 per day for the first forty days, $256.31 per day afterwards. No benefits associated with this position.
