Teachers for K-2 Literacy and Numeracy Summer School (multiple positions available)

Schedule:       August 13-24, 2012

Monday - Friday

• Staff Hours:  7:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
• Student Hours:  8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
• 3 3/4 hours paid per day for 10 days

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Plan instruction based on individual needs of students.
2. Plan and implement daily schedule and activities for students.
3. Establish and maintain an orderly classroom environment.
4. Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis.
5. Keep accurate records.
6. Participate in professional development/preparation.
7. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Learning, Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Valid Michigan elementary teaching certification.
2. Recent experience teaching k-2 grade preferred. 
3. Experience working with at risk children preferred.

Rate:   $26.22/hour per the STEA Master Agreement
