Description: This position is a setting I & II EBD teaching position. Team member to provide support with other building staff to students with emotional and behavior difficulties. Knowledge of assessment of students for strengths / weaknesses, IEP development/knowledge, data collection and Campus program knowledge a plus. Must be consistent, dependable and reinforcing with behavioral interventions. Able to be flexible with schedules and has good communication skills with staff, students and parents.
Experience: Previous experience or interest in working with secondary students with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Additional knowledge or experience on due process/assessments/methods and current trends and criteria. Experience with special education due process a must. Some training available. Preference: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have earned a B.A. or B.S. degree and current Minnesota State Licensure in Emotional Behavioral Disorders. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students; effectual planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills
