Classroom Paraprofessionals - Targeted Services Summer School Program

Talahi Elementary      

                       

TYPE OF POSITION:

Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.     

June 19, 20, 26, 27

July 10, 11, 17, 18, 31

August 1

Hours may vary based on building/program needs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma, or equal
  • Highly Qualified (must be HQ by one of the following standards; links provided for HQ details):

-60 semester college credits with a GPA of 2.0 or higher

-ParaPro exam (passing score of 460 or higher, http://www.ets.org )

-Portfolio (Para elink completion of modules with accompanying portfolio documenting competencies, http://ici.umn.edu/elink/index.html )

 

Preferred:

  • Previous job related experiences  

SUMMARY:   Assist the classroom teacher or instructional staff in the supervision and instruction of students, including classroom safety; management of student behavior; administrative support; and interaction and communication with students, teachers, support staff, colleagues and parents.

 

First consideration may be given to current staff and/or those who are familiar with the program.

 

SALARY:   $10.47/hr - $13.60/hr (Salary is subject to the negotiated agreement and work experience)
