QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Illinois Type 73 School
Service Personnel/School Psychologist certification.
2. RTI experience
preferred.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
1. Lead psychologist exists
in the district.
2. Work with Alternative to
Suspension.
3. Coordinate with the
community.
4. Direct parent
connection.
5. Management Behavior
Intervention Plans and work more with CIS.
6. Liaison between school,
families and CIS.
7. Get families
engaged.
8. Collect data, SIMEO
(School Informational Management of Educational Outcomes) -
data warehouse for a wrap, individual student counseling with
family, individual wrap plan; SWIS (review and assess status of
students). Make sure interventions at Tier II are done with
fidelity. Wrap is higher level of engagement at Tier II and
III.
9. Assist with training
that is delivered by the Special Education Department Problem
Solving Team (PST) to other district mental health employees in
order to be self-sustaining. Each building has a 10-member
problem solving team, offering alternative to detention,
etc. The PST gets consents to refer to CIS.
