Qualifications:

• Iowa Teaching License required
• Strong Technology background necessary:
  • MS Generalist preferred
• Demonstrates a willingness to adapt new ideas and concepts into practical classroom use including use of an Interactive Whiteboard, Responders, a Mobi, and Document Camera
• Demonstrate a strong background in Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010 and Microsoft Power Point 2010
• Demonstrate a willingness to troubleshoot technology problems at the building level and work with building staff to remedy the problems
• The ability to provide website maintenance at the building level
• Must be able to collaboratively work on a team with fellow teachers
• Demonstrates competence in classroom management
• Demonstrates ability to differentiate instruction
• Self-starter, enthusiastic, creative and visionary educator
• Aligns classroom assessment with instruction
• Creates classroom culture that supports learning of every student
• Experience working with diverse cultural population
• Works collaboratively with peers
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently walk, stoop, bend, and sit. The noise level in the work environment ranges from mild to loud.
