Paraprofessional (WSC Academy- Ypsilanti, MI)
Job Summary:
Responsible to assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators and other team members in providing educational benefit and supervision of students.
Additional Job Expectations:
Participate in staff development activities, staff meetings, in-service trainings, retreats, continuing education courses, and/or professional organizations, school functions including but not limited to, field trips, award banquets, carnivals, graduation, etc.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and a minimum of 60 hours of credits in education or a related field from an accredited college or university, or qualifying scores on WorkKeys to be approved as a Paraprofessional as defined by the State of Michigan.
Candidates who have a valid State of Michigan teaching certificate and experience with Special Education are strongly preferred.
