Job Title:
PART-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL DURING KINDERGARTEN CAMP - JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Job Description:
A Part-Time Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional to work with an Early Childhood student with identified special needs during Kindergarten Camp at Jefferson Elementary School from June 25 through July 31. This position is 12 hours per week (3.0 hours per day for 4 days per week), Mon-Thurs from 9am-12pm.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. One of the following preferred: (1) Two year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60 semester credits OR (3) A portfolio demonstrating MN Core Competencies for Paraprofessionals OR (4) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test. Prefer experience with preschool aged children with special needs. Willingness to take direction from the case manager. Trained or willingness to be trained on positive behavior intervention supports and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Ability to use visual schedules and to collect data as directed by the case manager. Exhibit a positive and cheerful relationship with young children and families.
