Summary:


Works with students, staff, and administration to improve students’ reading skills and to develop and implement a long-range plan for reading improvement at Frederick Douglass Elementary School.
 
Qualifications:

  • Applicants should hold a Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement or be eligible for such. 
  • Must have at least three years of successful classroom teaching experience in which the teaching of reading was an important responsibility. 
  • Applicants must have completed an approved graduate-level reading specialist preparation program.

Salary:  


Range for 2012-2013 is $39,200 to $68,742 with additional supplemental pay for graduate degree.   
 
Workday:


Full time / 10 month (200 days) position, 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday
