NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY
Position:
Network Technician
Summary:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Shared Technology
Services, the Network Technician is responsible for supporting
systems that make up the CCRESA network. This includes
the wired and wireless network, switches, routers and
servers. The Network Technician will troubleshoot and
maintain these systems. Implementation of new systems and
performing upgrades to older systems will also be a critical
part of this position. The Network Technician will serve
as a network administrator.
Qualifications
:
The
ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree or higher.
Industry certifications (like CompTIA Network+, Security+,
Microsoft, Cisco) are desired. The ideal candidate will
have at least three years of experience in Network support.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate current knowledge
of network hardware and software.
Skills/Other
:
The
ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills and the
ability to keep a good rapport with clients. The candidate
must be capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
He/She must be able to adapt to changing priorities and to
assimilate new knowledge quickly and effectively in order to
incorporate evolving technologies. The candidate must be able to
work as a part of a team. They must also possess the
ability to manage and document multiple projects, and have strong
interpersonal communication skills. The ideal candidate
will be knowledgeable in wired and wireless networking
technologies including Microsoft Server 2008, Active Directory
administration, switch/router configuration, firewall
configuration and content filtering. Experience with
Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage
preferred. The candidate should have experience supporting
voice and video networks.

$41,000 - $51,000 (Pay commensurate with experience)
