Independent School District 15-St. Francis Public Schools,
is seeking candidates to apply for the position of
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY EDUCATION
ISD 15 is located in northern Anoka County and has a
population of approximately 32,000 residents. The school district consists of 8
municipalities and covers 166 square miles and includes the following school
and educational facilities: St. Francis Senior High School grades 9-12 (1600
students); St. Francis Middle School grades 6-8 (1200 students); St. Francis
Elementary School grades K-5
(748 students); East bethel Community School grades K-5 (619 students); Cedar Creek Community School grades K-5 (830 students);
Crossroads School and Vocational Center-special education center (60-75) students; the Lifelong Learning Center-ECFE,ECSE, Preschool Place 15, Kids
Connection (latch key) and Adult Basic Education; Sandhill Center- Arts Center
programming, senior citizen programming, workout and exercise facility,
entertainment/performance center; Transportation Center, Maintenance
Facility, Central Services Center-District Offices.
Community Education works to identify community need and
resources and match them to promote individual and family growth.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Community Education Director license through the MN Department of Education or the ability to obtain; minimum BA/BS degree with academic concentration in education or related field; must have excellent oral & written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous community education experience; previous district level administrative experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Supervision, management, and evaluation of 5 program supervisors and their program responsibilities:
- Adult Education and Enrichment.
- Facility scheduling.
- Adult Basic Education/ESL/HS Diploma.
- Youth Recreation and leagues-summer camps and clinics.
- Youth after school programming.
- Facility that encompasses senior activities, health activities, and activities related to the arts. Kids Connection (before and after school childcare).
- Early Childhood Family Education, Preschool Place 15, Parent Ed.
- District wide communications-both web and written (The Courier Newspaper).
Develop and administer the Community Education Budget of $2 million; liaison to local city and county government; develop and foster local collaboratives.
