QUALIFICATIONS
- Accredited High School diploma (U.S.A. equivalency) and five
years of related experience
- Proficient in MS Office Professional and MS Windows
- Ability to successfully complete assignments accurately, in
a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of district
personnel as well as linguistically and culturally diverse constituencies
- Knowledge of Adult Basic Education regulations to meet
federal, state, and local guidelines
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare accurate
and timely correspondence
- Problem solving and analytical skills in researching and
responding to inquiries and other tasks assigned
- Organizational, prioritization, communication, customer
service, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
- Written/Oral skills in Spanish/English is a plus
BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Assist the director,
coordinators and instructional staff in the coordination and implementation of all
program responsibilities
- Enter and update data
weekly in TEAMS concerning student, staff, class, and site demographics,
enrollment, assessments, orientation, daily attendance, contact hours, student
participation, goal setting and achievement, withdrawal, transfer, and
completion
- Provide teachers
sign-in sheets, assessment, contact hours and enrollment data on all students
through TEAMS for their individualized educational plans and instructional
decisions.
- Advise coordinators
regarding classes that are under performing and/or not reporting data on a
least weekly basis
- Compile information
for monthly and year-end program reporting to Texas LEARNS, TEA and Dallas ISD
- Exercise
confidentiality with respect to department records and staff and student data
- Maintain inventory
records for materials, technology hardware/software, curricula, and testing
materials; ensure site has all necessary resources to serve adult students
- Answer incoming calls,
take reliable messages, provide ABE information to the public and route to appropriate
staff
- Assist in writing
letters, memos, and reports necessary to meet the Adult Basic Education program
guidelines
- Maintain documentation
and backup information for all contracts, supplemental pay and overtime
- Assist in the
preparation of all budget, payroll forms, and related financial documents
- Process documentation,
budget reports, and invoices as submitted and forward documents in timely and
accurate manner when necessary
- Maintain physical and
computerized departmental files, records budget activities and disseminates
information to supervisor(s) as necessary
- Assist in the
coordination and implementation of all department meetings/events/trainings
- Meet proficiency
levels of required technology skills and incorporate appropriate technology in
daily work as required by supervisor
- Treat students,
co-workers, supervisors and visitors with dignity and respect
- Perform all other
tasks and duties as assigned

Selected individuals
for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to
compensation guidelines. A campus-based

220/223 grant. Federally funded personnel must comply with
