  Qualifications:  Applicant must have the training and/or ability to service and maintain the school building and all its equipment.  Applicant must be able to maintain all grounds adjacent to the building.
A building operator's certification is preferred.

Description:  A Day Engineer must be able to maintain all the equipment and facilities of the school plant and grounds.  He/she is responsible for assigning work to the night engineer, assistant custodians and any part-time employees assigned to the building.  He/she must possess the supervisory and instructional skills necessary to train employees in the proper methods of cleaning, painting, and making minor repairs.  He/she is responsible for the safe operation of the HVAC.  He/she must be able to requisition maintenance supplies and ensure that the building is ready to accommodate the daily and nightly activity schedule as directed by the school principal.  He/she is subject to be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day.

This job is based on a forty (40) hour week, twelve (12) months a year.

Hours:  6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 8 hours/day, 260 days/year

Salary Range:  $38,142 - $58,122
