Job Description for 5<SUP>th</SUP> Block Math/Science Block Teacher:
The qualified applicant needs to develop and manage hands-on math and science lessons for kindergarten through 5<SUP>th</SUP> grade classes. These lessons need to align with Idaho State Standards for both Math and Science. The applicant will communicate with classroom teachers from each grade level in order to develop a comprehensive curriculum plan. Each Monday will be spent at Harrison Elementary (Grades K-5) and Tuesday-Friday will be at Morningside Elementary (Grades K-5). If chosen, the math/science block teacher will facilitate a school-wide Invention Convention at Morningside School. In addition, the applicant will enter qualifying students from Morningside in the Regional and Tri-State Tournament of Innovation for the Invention Convention. A willingness to actively participate with students on a daily basis using the scientific method as it relates to real-world science and experimentation is strongly desired.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess or be eligible for an Idaho Education Credential. Must be highly qualified by completed HOUSSE rubric or Elmentary Content Knowledge praxis II exam. Application Procedure: Apply on-line
