Qualifications
·
Connecticut Intermediate
Administration and Supervision Certification (092)
·
Proficiency in educational
technology and its various applications within the school
system
·
Prior experience as an
administrator
·
Deep understanding of current
pedagogy about student learning, instructional leadership and
staff development
·
Ability to use student and teacher
data to improve student achievement and develop teacher
effectiveness and the skills to communicate these data within and
outside of the school
·
Demonstrated ability to work well
with parents and members of the community
Responsibilities
·
Developing a school climate that
fosters learning
·
Scheduling of students and staff to
classes and programs
·
Supervising and evaluating staff
utilizing school goals as the basis for professional growth
objectives
·
Working with teachers and grade
level teams in a variety of team structures including: a School
Data Team, Instructional Data Teams, Response to Intervention,
Technology and any other teams that exist to enhance teaching and
learning within the school
·
Engaging parents, community
organizations and businesses as educational partners
·
Preparing and defending the school
budget including establishing priorities for educational
materials to meet the needs of students and teachers within
available funding
·
Supervising the work of
non-certified staff and providing feedback toward their annual
evaluations
·
Implementing the policies of the
Bristol Board of Education
·
Assuring that staff and students are
aware of school safety procedures and that practice drill
activities occur according to policy and State law
·
Participating in district-wide
committees, professional learning and
other meetings as appropriate
·
Working with the Central Office
Staff on system-wide initiatives and problems
Salary
$118,520 to $126,119 - works 220 days a year
