                                                                                                      Hours per Week:       9 hrs/week  (3 hours/day)                        

 

Salary:  Per appropriate placement                                              Bargaining Unit:         LEA

on the  LEA master agreement

 

Qualifications:

1.  High school diploma or equivalent and an Associate Degree OR passing of WorkKeys Assessment

     in reading, applied mathematics and writing OR passing of ETS Parapro Assessment, OR MTIC

     Basic Skills Test

2.  Demonstrated ability to work with computers, digital cameras, Smartboards, printers, Study Island, and other technology hardware and software.

3.   Ability to work successfully with elementary school children

4.  Able to tutor in such areas of language arts, science, math, reading, and social studies

5.  Ability to follow the plan and direction of classroom teacher; assist with classroom management such as

      organizing instructional materials

6.   Able to work with students and staff from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ages, and

proficiency levels
