*Knowledge of the principles of effective
teaching
*Knowledge of the fundamentals of the activity
*Coaching experience preferred
*Dance/Cheer experience in high School and/or College
preferred
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Flexible schedule/good organizational skills
preferred
*Knowledge of district and state
athletic guidelines
*Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50
pounds
*Current TB skin test on file
*CPR and First Aid
Certification-Required
*Bloodborne Pathogens
Training-Required
*AACCA Safety Certification
preferred
*Valid driver's license

BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
Assist Head Coach in the delivery of the Cheerleading
program.
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Responsible for the coaching,
supervising and training of the junior varsity and/or
varsity cheerleaders.

Attend all cheer practices.
Both squads will practice together during the school year.
The schedule will be developed by the Head Coach.
-
Responsible for carrying out
head coaches' request when working with any squad.
-
Responsible for ensuring the
rules and regulations are followed as outlined by KSHSAA
and the cheer handbook.
-
Lead and direct the
cheerleaders in such a way as to encourage good
sportsmanship by example and leadership.
-
Display conduct before the
students and the community so as to instill respect and
good sportsmanship.

Attend/sponsor home games when
the junior varsity squad is performing.

Attend/sponsor some out of
town varsity events, as assigned by head coach.
-
Assist in issuing uniforms and
collecting them at the conclusion of the season.

Responsible for other duties
relating to cheerleaders as maybe directed by the Head
Coach, Athletic Director and/or Principal.

See that the cheerleaders
carry out all the duties set forth in the cheerleader
handbook.

Attends meetings as required
by Head Coach/Athletic Director.

Other activities approved by
building administrators.

responsibilities while meeting established
deadlines.

athletes in multiple settings including but not limited to
locker room, gym, bus, and other facilities in and out of
district

Ability to attend all games in
and out of district including playoffs.
